I've stayed at Hyatt Ziva twice before, and I'm happy to say I was delighted with my most recent stay. I love the location on a great swimming beach (a sheltered cove, beautiful, peaceful, uncrowded.) The food was just as good as always: freshest fruit, delicious variety of hot and cold plates, tempting desserts. I ate more than I should have, the food was so delicious. The freshness of the food is just THE BEST, and everything is presented in a beautiful manner. They had all my favorites, paella, gazpacho, fresh seafood, octopus. A hostess explained that dishes from Spain, France, and Mexico rotate. I said I really loved octopus, and she mentioned to me when it was served again. Vita, the informal dining room, is perfect for single travelers. The waiters made me feel very comfortable; most diners are families or couples but I didn't feel shy in this incredibly welcoming place. My favorite waiters were Ramiro and Yoshimar: lots of heart and soul. Another guy, recently hired, was very fun to talk to. He had worked from Puget Sound, Washington, my birthplace, all the way down the Pacific coast. I'm impressed with the cosmopolitanism and charm of the whole staff. Kudos for excellent hiring of staff. The young people handing out towels and giving info. about activities were charming.
