"My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay at Villa Maya Uma. It was a very nice B&B in a very quiet area, not far from the beaches. John-Marc and Lyod were wonderful hosts that provided a very good breakfast and great recommendations for dining and visiting nearby wineries. "Stayed for 3 nights. There are pluses, but also minuses. Pluses: Beautiful area. Close to Bordeaux and Saint Emilion. Large rooms, great showers and toilets. There is a kettle in the room. In front of the room is a small terrace with a table and 2 chairs. Breakfast is included in the price. Breakfast is very good if it is covered by a woman. At our request, she even covered us one hour earlier due to our early check-out, (many thanks to her). When breakfast covered a man, it was much worse....

"Initial impression down an ordinary street in a built up suburb was not great, but once inside the quirky, bohemian accommodation we were made to feel very welcome. Our room was comfortable and Laurence, our host, was very friendly. She gave us recommendations for dinner and tips on getting into Bordeaux via tram. Breakfast was delicious and Laurence chatted easily with us. "
