"Three days before leaving the UK we were contacted by the owner's agent saying we had to leave a large € deposit (now increased). I offered a credit card but they would only accept a cheque or cash. Appealed to owner who agreed to reduce but still had to leave a large amount in cash. Owner pointed out it was in his conditions. "We stayed at the villa for a week in July 2018, with children from the age of 10 to 17. The villa was clean and just what we needed. We loved the location with many activities for the children different ages. There was always something to do or visit. Lacanau-Océan is a great vibrant place with many bars and restaurants for an evening meal or just a drink. The owner was very responsive and always willing to help. "With 7 members of the party keen to surf every day, this was an ideal location - 10 mins drive from Gurp beach (with a small parade of cafes and restaurants just beyond the campsite). It was also within easy reach (20-30 mins)of the pretty seaside resort of Soulac , supermarkets, petrol stations, local vineyards (with walk-in free tastings) and open markets as well as the bigger surf resort of Hourtin plage (and lake). "The outdoor was great different spaces for times of day. Wifi was really good and no issues with it. The beds were comfy and bathrooms clean and spacious. All your cooking needs are catered for. The shutters worked well. Bring mosquitoe repellent and a fan if you want a cool breeze at night. The local boulangerie was very good. The owners are very helpful and can’t recommend the place enough. We all enjoyed our stay."

"Das Haus wurde nach Absprache mit dem Vermieter vorher gelüftet und gesäubert - zu unserer Ankunft war alles perfekt. Das Grundstück war frisch gemäht, ist riesig und hat sehr schöne Bäume. Zudem ist die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter sehr gut, es wird sofort reagiert, wenn es um den Ersatz einer neuen Gasflasche, eines Grills oder um andere Probleme geht. Der Strand, Plage du Pin Sec ist weitläufig und auch in der Hauptferienzeit nicht überlaufen."

"We have just returned from a wonderful week in Lacanau. The villa is so well equipped, it really does have everything you need. It is clean and the beds are comfy. The pool is fantastic and the view of the lake wonderful. The villa is in a quiet, peaceful neighbourhood. The lake is down quite a long, steep hill from the villa - you may need to drive if you have lots of little children or kit. Cycling is so easy, you have to go down the hill and through to Le Moutchic to access the main cycle...

"Small and perfect"

"Nous avons passé un très bon moment dans un très bel hébergement meublé et équipé avec soin. Idéal pour les vacances d'été, avec une piscine et l'océan Atlantique au coin de la rue. L'environnement est magnifique, les commerces variés. Le marché de Soulac-sur-Mer (Marché municipal) est fortement recommandé. Les plages sont spacieuses et peu fréquentées. Rien ne s'oppose à un voyage à Bordeaux. Nous reviendrons sûrement. La communication avec nos hôtes était très amicale, simple et toujours...

"En premier amabilité et disponibilité de l'hôte pour nous guider et donner les "bonnes adresses" de LACANAU. Leur gentillesse a largement participé à la réussite du séjour. Maison très confortable avec un équipement ménagé hors du commun. Literie en 180 très confortable.Sanitaires et SDB très propres.Puisqu'il faut toujours un bémol, la banquette lit convient plus à des ados ou enfants qu'à des adultes. Super séjour dans un environnement rare: tranquillité, piscine, play ground, pistes...

"Except for the cleanliness of the property on arrival, it was a good property and felt wonderfully secluded; the property was a good size for 2 families, although the bathrooms are on the small side. The patio area was perfect to listen to waves crash in to shore. Definitely recommend"
