"We had a lovely stay, Marta provided us with excellent information. We were lucky to have an upgrade and was given the studio room. It was spacious with authentic cave room experience. The closest and cheapest pay parking is approx. 11 mins. walk. I strongly encourage travelling light as you will be dragging your suitcases in uneven surfaces. "The location was good. Shower is extremely SMALL. There is a shared kitchen , however it's the family's kitchen which makes it VERY uncomfortable to use. The right up is very misleading and makes it sound like the kitchen is to be shared with other guests. A seperate fridge and kettle would help. Parking is limited, however we managed to be able to park out front."

"Clean, modern, nice garden with pines. However walls are very thin, queen bed was two singles pushed together, hot water ran out fast, and we were charged for parking when Expedia said it was included - even when we showed them our receipt."

I had to pay for overnight parking in a public garage.....which cost almost $30 for the night. Also, Livingston’s is really a B and B, not a hotel, and, as such, was difficult to find because, even though it’s on the Main Street in Matera, there was only a small sign attached to the building to identify it. I have found that situation in several smaller Hotels.com...

"Hotel has an amazing location. Breakfast is exquisite and rooms are very comfortable. Location of the hotel is PERFECT and it has an amazing view. Please have in mind that front desk of the hotel closes (we were not told and we were surprised when no one was in the front desk starting 8pm). You have to coordinate the transportation to the parking lot the day before so dont forget! "

"The apartment is in a great central location - on a piazza with a couple of cafe's outside and above a bistro. Easy access to all the sights of the Sassi and Matera, and of course more cafe's and restaurants less than 10 mins walk. Very centrally located for dining out and getting home after a day of sightseeing.
