"I booked the cherry barn for my partners birthday as I wanted him to have a quiet relaxing weekend away and it was perfect. We were greeted with a friendly welcome from Gary and Molly the dog. The accommodation was beautiful, the pictures really do not do it justice. Lovely fresh cooked breakfast, especially the sausage served when requested each morning. "The White House was easy to find, with parking outside. Our hosts were lovely, genial and very welcoming. Our ensuite room was warm, comfortable and homely. The complimentary welcome tray was the best I've ever seen with lovely homemade cake (huge slices!) 2 small bottles of wine and 2 bottles of water. The beds were in the firm category which suited my husband more than me. Our room was at the back of the house and was very peaceful at night time and the village seemed quiet the next...

"Met up with a friend at this delightful guest house. Louise is an excellent host and was very informative about the area and where to visit. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful and set us up for the day. Room was clean and well presented and Louise thoughtfully gave us an extra heater as it was a chilly day. "We really enjoyed our stay at the Golden Lion . We had our own car parking space . The breakfast was outstanding . Very hot plenty of it and delicious. The only downside was they didn’t do meals in the evening. But they are ready to recommend places that do great meals ie The Old Castle. We would definitely stay there again."
