The hotel is handy for first time travelers to Athens just like we were. We took the metro from ATH airport and walked a few blocks from the station to the hotel. It has a large lobby that is most common with luxury hotels. The staff were the usual European business-like demeanor, direct and helpful.
We spent our first night in Athens after a stay at Skiathos in an inexpensive airbnb, but wanted to step it up for our second and last night. This hotel was beautiful - it's incredibly close to the Acropolis, and out the front door you can stop at the museum or keep walking a few blocks to discover the Plaka, and then on to Monastiraki for an easily walkable day. It was so great having the hotel in the middle of this, to come back from morning exploration and a sweaty Acropolis walk to shower and head to dinner. We had dinner at a beautiful restaurant in the Plaka, and then enjoyed 1 or several cocktails at the Herodion's insanely beautiful rooftop bar. Drinks take a bit of time, but they're delicious, and it gives you more time to stare at the light up Parthenon, which is a real privilege. You're close enough to see the fine details, it's pretty magical. The rooms themselves are not huge, but they are clean, the pillows and mattresses are wonderful, and the bathroom is clean and well decorated and stocked. The staff helped us with an early flight situation, calling a taxi at 4:30 AM and offering us breakfast and coffee at that time. We wish we had planned more time to enjoy the jacuzzi - it's a quiet area with its own view of the Acropolis. We went to go in and there was another couple in there and we felt a bit creepy just plopping in, so I'd leave time to check in a few times to get a private dip. It's gorgeous and I have absolutely no complaints
The location of this hotel is perfect! Over the years I have come to prefer boutique style hotels because of the customer service and intimate feeling. AthensWas did not disappoint. It's new, modern, and again the location can't be beat. Acropolis is only a short walk away!
I was looking for a cheaper hotel which was clean, close to Avis rental cars (very close) for the first night in Athens before we went on a road trip. I have been in Athens several times, and I have done WAY worse than this. It is not a 5 only since it does not have that extra level I expect in a higher level hotel, but met my expectations.
Helpful and friendly staff, wonderful rooftop bar and restaurant with great views of Parthenon. The hotel is located on a quiet street, but it is near most of the major attractions, with the new Acropolis Museum only a block away. The Metro station is also only a block away, making it very convenient to travel by Metro (which is very new and clean--great way to get around Athens). Many restaurants are close by, but you will definitely want to check out the rooftop restaurant of the hotel--it has a delicious menu and great service. This hotel is very comfortable, and the helpful and welcoming staff make it a pleasant place to stay. I would absolutely recommend it to friends, and I would probably choose it as the place I would stay if I have the opportunity to visit Athens again in the future.

On the southern edge of Plaka, the pedestrianised archaeological promenade skirts the foot of the Acropolis, cutting between the pine-covered slopes of Filopappos Hill and Herodes Theatre (built 2 AD), hosting open-air performances through summer. Close by is the New Acropolis Museum, designed by Swiss architect Bernard Tschumi.
