Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this wonderful property, staff were helpful, attentive and polite. Smooth and efficient check-in, excellent dinner in the restaurant. Buffet breakfast was fresh and delicious.
T he staff is wonderful. The rooms are quite comfortable with one exception: it is early November but still very warm outside. This hotel has turned off the air conditioning as they say it is no longer hot. The rooms are too warm for most northern Europeans and Americans. There are no fans and when we opened the window, mosquitos!
If not for this oversight on the part of management, this hotel would rate 10+.
Again, the staff, location and pleasant surroundings are very good.

I was pleased with the hotel overall. It was clean, provided a nice breakfast, and the desk staff, especially Dana, was helpful. The location is very central to sights and on a narrow street that is quiet overnight. Given the reasonable price, I would stay at the hotel again if I visit Athens.
This hotel was very conveniently located in the heart of Plaka, 10 minutes' walk to the Acropolis, the metro stations at Syntagma and Monastiraki and close to numerous cafes and restaurants. It is a small hotel with friendly, helpful staff, the room was comfortable and the breakfast, included in the price, was perfectly adequate. A few doors from the hotel there was a newly opened museum showing life in Athens in the 1960s with animated models, well worth a visit and offering a discount to Nefeli customers.

We had the top room with an amazing terrasse with a great view of the Acropolis. The room was really spacious and well decorated with a little kitchen and living area with tons of light. The bed was really comfortable and the place couldn't have been cleaner. There was coffee on hand which was a nice touch. The owner John was really welcoming and helpfull. The location is fantastic. Walking distance to everything. I highly recommend this place. We tried and book a 2nd night to no availability. The only disapointment about this place.
Quaint and touristy, Athens’ oldest residential quarter sits in the shadow of the Acropolis. Plaka’s narrow cobbled streets are lined with bougainvillea-clad neoclassical mansions, souvenir shops and pseudo-traditional tavernas, some with live music. A village atmosphere prevails, despite the crowds. Close to all the top sights, it makes the best base for a short stay.
