"The hotel is advertised as smoke-free, but as soon as we entered, the entire lobby smelled strongly of cigarettes. We checked in around 5:30 p.m., and there were two employees at the front desk. One of them, who I believe was named Kostas, was not friendly or welcoming. He did not greet us, smile, or explain anything warmly. He simply told us we needed to pay an additional amount per night and handed us the card machine. His tone came across as rude, which made for a disappointing first impression. The breakfast was mediocre, with the same options served every day. However, the dining-area staff were consistently friendly and pleasant. Our room was reasonably clean, the shower had excellent water pressure, and the blackout curtains made it easy to sleep in. The hotel was generally quiet, but the soundproofing between rooms and the hallway was poor. We could clearly hear our neighbors, as well as people walking and talking in the hallway. The elevators were also very slow, so we usually took the stairs. The best feature of this hotel is its convenient location. There are plenty of restaurants, shops, and attractions within walking distance."
