This was our thirteenth visit to Phidias. We have always had a very pleasant stay. But on this
Occasion it was not so good. We arrived late in the evening after a days travel
and just fell into bed. In the morning we realised that we had not got the
room we had booked and paid for. The receptionist was very helpful but could not
offer us anything better. We had booked the room six months in advance.
They offered us a refund of 15% which we accepted, but this did not
solve the problem. We had breakfast on the first morning, but the waitress
was very rude to my wife, she had no manners. and did not even say good morning,
Or know the words please or thankyou. So we avoided breakfast.
Then on fourth morning the usual chef returned from holiday so we had
breakfast. We know him very well, and the breakfast was excellent. He his also
very polite and efficient.
