"Very spacious, beautiful hotel and property. The staff was very nice. Only complaint was the bed stiff. They have fans if needed and you can open the windows if needed. Close to everything in town. Super convenient from the train station. I would stay here again. Loved it. "

"Overall good stay; I ticked the box at reception for the daily cleaning; later found out that the cleaner took our hand-cleaning soap and not replaced by another one. This led to a bit of inconvenience. As there was only another night stay after that, I didn’t report to anyone."

Perfect location for a nice walk to the city surrounded by nice shops and restaurants. If you want a luxurious stay after walking around york this is the hotel for you. "

"Booked last minute, room was ok, could hear the people in the room next door and on hallway. Once they were all quiet it was peaceful and had a good sleep. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. "

"First time staying at Roomzzz. Room was a good size, kitchen well equipped and very clean. Staff were incredibly helpful. Croissants in the morning were delicious. Would highly recommend! Hotel was in easy walking distance to most of York’s tourist attractions. "

"Fantastic friendly service, characterful property and a pleasant change from a chain hotel. Not right in the centre but only a very safe 6-8min walk from Minster, shops, restaurants etc… Breakfast was outstanding and good value at £16 for juice, coffee, pastry, yogurt and fruit and Eggs Benedict. Full English a bit more, lighter options from £11. Quite a lot of parking outside at £15 a night (good for York) but it’s very tight & I’d advise contacting them to reserve a place. I got the last one...

"Well what can I say. Second visit to this fabulous hotel and again I can’t fault it. From the moment you walk in the grand front door, checking in and going to your room it is a delight. Lovely restored old property sympathetically completed without spoiling the grandness. Large bedrooms continue with the grandness. Breakfast, choices extend to salmon dishes with poached eggs etc, alongside the usual buffet style hot options and cereals etc. Looking forward to returning to this magnificent hotel...

"Room was spacious (family with a full and a twin) and very convenient to the city center"

"Couldn't resist the name. The hotel was in the perfect location for a short trip in York. It was walkable to everything but still tucked away enough that I didn't have to worry about loud people all night. Fair warning this hotel doesn't have an elevator, only stairs so if you're like me and tend to over pack - you've been warned. That being said staff were super helpful in bringing my luggage up and down the stairs. Would gladly stay here again."

"Great location, room and bathroom great size. Bed comfortable, staff friendly. Old building and rooms due for refurbishment but that did not impact my stay The bath in my room was very high and may be difficult for older people to get in to also quite a few stairs to room. Not keen on the restaurant food that I had. "
