"We had a last minute booking for one night at the Liner Hotel as we were travelling from Lime Street station early the next morning. The room was very comfortable with twin beds and plenty of space to walk around them. Service was good, although early morning check out took a while. Parking was free at the nearest car park only 2 minutes walk away. Great value stay."

"No problems with anything. Yes, we knew about the breakfast bag - no complaints there. But trying to sleep when the only light for the bathroom reflects through the mirror onto the bed. Fit a dimmer switch, or move the mirror onto the opposite side by the bathroom door - or, fit one of those small blue lights in the bathroom, which allows you to see at night without disturbing anyone else in the hotel room."

"We were there for a family gathering. The reeceptionist was warm and welcoming and very helpful. We had a meal and all the front of house were lovely, Daniella was particularly good. Her service was with a big smile, nothing was too much trouble and our food and drinks were perfect. There was a football team there that evening yet somehow everyone managed to give a smooth and timely service. Excellent stay . Thank you to the breakfast team, buzzing around, refilling, being nice, working hard and...

"Lovely and central to all of Liverpool attractions. So cheap and great quality. No kettle in the room but could buy from reception. Have stayed here 3 times now. Gave a reduction for local parking which was a bonus."

"It’s always tricky looking for family rooms for older children, it was fantastic to have a separate room for the two kids. The rooms are stylish and spotlessly clean.10 minute stroll into Chester centre along the canal. The hotel has a lovely friendly vibe with a great lobby/bar area with games and another upstairs with a pool table and a few arcade games. The staff were super friendly and inviting. We would definitely stay again! Thank you!!!"

"Basic business hotel, its clean and works though some people might find coach parties bit off putting (but they are kept separate). Loud noise of peacocks and cockerels in early hours (not a problem for me) reminds me of home, but absence of reliable newspaper supplier in surroundings is an issue."

"Clean affordable property 15-20 mins from the city centre of Liverpool. Rooms are compact but have everything you could need for a weekend stay. Communication was great and easy check in. Only complaint would be the bed is on the small side. "
