  • Hawaii Luxury holidays

This idyllic paradise was born from the ocean itself. Volcanic islands that grew out of the turquoise waters and reached for the clear blue skies. Luxury holidays put you in the world's most evocative and unique locations, the sun-bleached sand between your toes, the waves lapping at the shore. Nowhere offers a feeling of luxury quite like Hawaii.

    Hawaii – island-hopping luxury holidays

The six Hawaiian islands have their own character, from the dramatic landscape of the oldest, Kauai, to the sense of community on the more populated Oahu. Molokai offers a sense of Hawaii's culture and heritage, Maui has unbeatable beaches, and Lanai is a place of retreat from the rest of the world.

Of the six, Hawaii Island itself - known to many as the Big Island - is the most diverse, with landscapes from sun-soaked beaches to the snowy peaks of its mountains. Perfect for explorers and adventurers, with the chance to see active volcano zones, rainforests and waterfalls, or to explore the coastline with its crystal clear waters.

    Hawaii - life in balance

Hawaii is a truly unique ecosystem, and its isolation from the rest of the world is part of the reason why. Careful controls on plants and animals from outside have kept this real-life Garden of Eden perfectly preserved, yet visitors can take plants and fruits with them on the return journey. Carry a piece of paradise with you to your life back home.

    When should I visit Hawaii?

There's no time like the present. Hawaii's climate means it's always a good time to visit - a little cooler in the winter months of December to March, but warmed by the trade winds. In the summer, from April right through to November, it will be warmer and drier, between about 25°C and 30°C. A trip around New Year's is your first chance of the season to join a whale-watching tour. The best chance of seeing whales lasts through to early April, but you might still get lucky in May too. The surf season peaks in the winter months, from November to February on the north shores.

Don't worry about anything. Hawaii is a truly stress-free destination - leave your smart shirts and ties at home. The dress code (if there even is one) is relaxed and suited to the warm climate, and you can pick up some extra island wear, as well as anything else you've forgotten, once you're there.

What's on offer on a luxury holiday?

Luxury holidays in Hawaii are all about indulging and relaxing. If you want cocktails on the beach, it's waiting for you. If you want a room with a view over white sandy beaches so you can enjoy the sunset, your luxury hotel will make it happen. The whole point of a luxury holiday is to allow time for you. Paying a little more for a luxury package is well worth it for a truly memorable holiday. Hawaii offers an attentive yet respectful service that is so typical of luxury holidays, and while you may not have snow-capped mountains on your doorstep, you will have some of the most idyllic scenery in the world, right outside your window.
