I had a very poor experience with this property. I reserved a two bedroom suite for three people well in advance, but was told when I arrived that the suite was no longer available. It was only after an extensive discussion with staff that I was able to secure a one bedroom apartment which was much smaller and not suitable for three people. I had to find other accommodations last minute at my own expense. Phone calls and messages asking for a refund have gone unanswered.

Chez Swann is in a great location to explore Montreal . Parking is under the hotel next door which is convenient but does require moving luggage through their lobby and down a flight of stairs . The staff are very helpful. The room was a little tired . Gouged wooden floor , no toilet paper holder and weird steps from bathroom to bed which we were not expecting . Not great for walking at night . The breakfast was disappointing. No fresh fruit , packaged pastries, bad coffee, no eggs. We went out the second day to the restaurant down the street for breakfast. For the price I think they could do better .

A friendly and helpful staff made my stay there most excellent. I would have preferred a genuine brass room key. And one for the front door as well. But that's the modern world I guess. In any case the hotel was very nice and I love the neighborhood.
