Clean hotel with everything you could need. The breakfast was excellent, the staff were very accommodating and helpful. They were able to store our luggage and also help us get checked in early. The rooms are simple and not super soundproof if you are facing the street but the location is great so the tradeoffs are worth it.

In a word amazing! This is a family run boutique hotel, and they really make you feel like family. Almost every thing we did on the island was through recommendations from the family. They upgraded us to a two bedroom without even asking just because they had it available and saw that we were a party of four. Amazing room, was more like a house, with a private pool and patio! The included breakfast, room service, and everything about the food was amazing. I highly recommend the chicken risotto, I've never had anything like it before, and I don't think I ever will again, because it was their own homemade creation. Thank you for everything!

Overall this is a nice place to stay if you just want to relax. We had a junior suite with a pool and did just BnB. Breakfast is good. Spa is good. Gym is good. Service regarding rooms could sometimes be hit and miss- we had to ask for the air con to be seen to on numerous occasions, the room to be cleaned a few times and there was one turn down service in 10 nights (just because we asked as we noticed it was supposed to be included (not that we particularly needed it). There is a small working village just outside the hotel with a handful of restaurants, supermarket, couple of convenience stores. A walk through the village takes you to the monastery which is worth a visit. The walk along the seafront is lovely with about 8 or so restaurants- all good, inexpensive, with beautiful setting. The beach at the hotel is just okay- it’s small, the hotel beach bar is good and convenient for the beach. I would not be going to this hotel for its beach. You have to walk across a car park littered with debris to get to the beach. Main pool area is very good and well maintained. It was a lovely temperature (in July). Tennis courts were good. Can’t comment on any evening entertainment or hotel restaurants.

We had a wonderful few days at Aquila Porto Rethymno. The property is beautiful and well maintained and with many additional facilities and games than expected. We went mid-June and had a wonderful time at the pool and beach, easily finding chairs, however, the drinks service was slow. The breakfast spread was delicious and plentiful. Very convenient location with easy walking distance to town.

After 3 years! I had the honor,priviledge&excitement of Hotel Antinea return! This time w my teenage Daughter,as my Oct Bday Celebration. I looked forward for trip to match my personal 1st experience. However,my check-in,room,location was not as I anticipated. I was in communication w Hotel prior to my arrival;Perhaps I failed & should have been specific in every detail prior to my arrival of my expectancy. Maria & Manager were VERY GREAT in accomodating to my needs,I want to THANK YOU! My check-in was"not"as expected,BUT my stay was AMAZING! EVERY staff member from manager,front desk,facilities,maintenance,housekeeping & restaurant/bar staff gentlemen were the BEST! VERY caring,attentive,friendly,just beautiful staff members; they are DEFINITELY a BLESSING to Hotel Antinea. THANK YOU!!! Breakfast Variety & Location of Hotel is just PERFECT!You have the BEAUTIFUL MOUNTAIN for hiking next door;along w walking distance to MANY Family-Owned Restaurants. I would DEFINITELY say,try them ALL,1 each day/night! Beach is a walking distance! Perhaps 15mins,as you walk down the hill from Hotel, making a right at the corner of a nice Tavern Restaurant& passing/viewing MANY other beautiful restaurants-friendly/warming,as well as covenient stores,atm,car rentals,gelato,icecream&you are then facing the beach wADDITIONAL Restaurants on the boardwalk. 'Saliveros Restaurant'one of the BEST on the boardwalk-YOU MUST TRY!!! Authentic/Sweet Family Owned GEM! GOD BLESS! Antinea PERFECT location!
