The room wasn’t available until 50 minutes after the 3pm check-in time, despite the front desk telling us it “would be ready in 15 minutes” over and over. We only got the room cards at 3:50pm and even then only the receptionist said we had to wait another 10 minutes and we began to raise complaints! The receptionist was not apologetic at all, and kept saying that nothing could be done because the crew responsible for cleaning was “from a different group”. Yes, she had no direct control. But as the customer-facing employee, it was her responsibility to make sure things went smoothly. It was very inconvenient, especially because we made plans for that afternoon and had to reschedule due to this delay. The staff in general were not super helpful. We asked for our mini fridge to be refilled (which it was supposed to be refilled everyday), and when we asked how long it would take, the hotel employee responded with “I don’t know”. It ended up taking more than half an hour. In addition, the wifi was incredibly unstable and weak. Our phones kept getting disconnected, and when we were able to use the wifi it was slow. The rooms were fine, if a bit small. The view was nice. If you need to use the hairdryer, be warned that it is very weak, The complimentary coffee and drinks were nice. The attached restaurant was great! No complaints there—highly recommend the octopus dish. Overall, the experience was very subpar for a 4 star hotel. I would not stay here again.
