We stayed during some construction or very loud deliveries; however, they were respectful and waited until 9:00 to start. Bed was comfortable and generous. Needed extra pillows for my comfort. The room generous with bathroom out in private entry, separated by an extra door. Walk in closet, desk, and three comfortable chairs, king bed. Staff was courteous, breakfast outstanding..omelettes and soft boiled eggs to order. Fruit, salmon board, and every steeped delicious tea you could imagine. Location was central, one block away from the Hofbrauhaus. We loved Schneider Brau Haus beer and food. Two blocks from Marienplatz. We hope to be back to Platzl Hotel.

Beautiful property. Exceptional staff, especially Annabelle Weiss at reception . Always courteous and helpful. Rooms were very modern but a bit quirky. Light switches and outlets difficult to work at first. Excellent buffet breakfast and beautiful restaurant. Very convenient location right next to the central station and Ubahn station, however there is a fair amount of construction in the area and the area to the west of the hotel is a bit rundown, but you can avoid it easily as there is nothing to see in that direction. Easy walk to old town and pedestrian shopping areas. Overall,this is a beautiful hotel with excellent service. Happy we chose THE SOFITEL.

Very nice hotel overall. A little disappointing that the “view” out of the windows was an inner rooftop area of blank walls. Also, small things such as a cheap coffee maker in the room and no shower lotion soap, just bar soap. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the lobby is very nice.

Excellent property in a very good location of Munich. Includes a sauna and steam room. Restaurant is very good. Very walkable area. Staff are highly trained and very helpful. This is an excellent and top notch hotel.
