The hotel was so special. The location is fabulous being in the Old Town. The staff were beyond accommodating. Helped with restaurants - suggestions and reservations. Truly magical! What you come to Dubrovnik for.

Great location with fantastic sea views from our balcony. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable rooms with air conditioning which was very important. The breakfast buffet was superb, the fresh omelette station in particular. My wife is gluten intolerant and there was an great selection of food for her to choose from. Great coffee and tea selections too. My only fault with the hotel was the gym. Alot of the weight machines were broken and outdated and it felt as if the gym had been overlooked for a while. Disappointing for a 5 star hotel. That said however, I would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends and family

It’s a stunningly built hotel, with a great view. Buffet breakfast was outstanding and we had buffet dinner once which was almost as good. Only the carvery meat which was a little average, but everything else was great. Friendly staff. The promise of a bottle of wine for being a hotels.com gold member never materialised. Don’t know if that’s more of an issue with the hotel or hotels.com And we had to switch rooms because water was leaking through the ceiling when we used the shower, so that wasn’t ideal. Nice location, fairly easy 15-20 min walk to the old town. Restaurant by the pool, is priced perhaps as you’d expect for a hotel like this - so not great value.

Beautiful resort with fabulous views of the sea and gorgeous grounds. Rooms are very spacious and have very cool designs. With that being said , unfortunately property suffers from staffing issues. From what I underestood resort uses many seasonal workers for temporary assignments from all over the world. Many of them don’t have any sort of attachment to the area and their heart is not in the work they do and this is very obvious. Tbey rarely ever smile and honestly when you ask something, it feels like you are a burden and nuisance. Although resort is considered luxury resort, employees don’t have a luxury resort etiquette. I had an incident during check out that we were standing in line for our turn. When our turn came up, this employee (Zeldjan) began to shout in Croatian to the person who was behind me in line!!! It was unbelievable and very unprofessional behavior. As I was talking to him about our bill, he interrupted me several time to speak to this person for whatever reason. Eventually I had to slam my hand in the counter and told him to please show some respect . Other than that resort was great. There are plenty of restaurants on site and food quality in my opinion was average. Be careful with breakfast buffet as I noted some items( like cold cuts and cheese) were used several days in row and became stale and tasted odd. Also there is vista restaurant which offers Mexican style food and for Americans I advise you to stay away from as it didn’t taste mexican at all.

Our stay at Royal Blue hotel was amazing. The rooms are large with plenty of room for luggage. It has beautiful views. The property is well maintained. The location is quite and close to bus station. There are restaurants within walking distance. The staff are very nice, friendly and so helpful. No complaints whatsoever.
