The hotel was great - very clean, nice rooms, delicious pastries and sweets in the lobby. Staff were very helpful and friendly, especially Lee and Ishii. Hotel was also a 2-minute walk from the central garden and not far from other things as well. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent service for everything! Enjoyed dining and professional service attended to the hotel guests. Located across from Nara Park where deer were freely roaming. I often saw a deer family walking around in the property, too. Highly recommend this hotel to experience a quiet and courteous nights.

Helpful polite staff, clean rooms, breakfast had nice variety but food that should have been hot was not as warm as we preferred. Spacious restaurant.

As with the Japanese culture, Imperial Hotel probably practices it to its finest ability. Staff are extremely helpful and courteous, the hotel's public areas are immaculate (though carrying a bit of retro tone...) and its proximity to nearby food stalls is perfect. Although I am not a big fan of classic interior settings, I still find this hotel deserving more than 5 stars just for the above reasons. It is not exuberantly luxurious, yet every detail oozes class and lifestyle. I have stayed at Peninsula which was a few streets away, and I honestly think this hotel is a steal at this price point.
