Niseko Ski Holiday Packages

A long season and around 49 feet of annual snow make Niseko, in western Hokkaido, perfect for winter escapades. Downhill thrills await at Niseko United, a ski area made up of four interconnecting resorts on 4,291-feet-tall Mount Niseko Annupuri. Niseko Mountain Resort Grand Hirafu is the biggest. Carve up 22 trails or find your ski legs with kids’, individual and group lessons. Featuring 12 slopes, backcountry skiing, snowshoeing and terrain parks, Niseko Hanazono Resort has something for every snow lover. Take a break at Café Hanazono 308 while the little ones have fun at Galaxy of Kidz indoor playground. Intermediate to expert shredders flock to Niseko Village for its off-piste terrain and extreme volcano crater skiing. Reindeer sled tours, snowmobiling and ski lessons with multilingual instructors are available here too. Book a Niseko ski holiday package to Niseko Annupuri International Ski Area and charge down 13 runs. Afterward, relax at one of several onsens located around the base village. The Niseko United All Mountain Pass grants access to all four resorts, and an adult day pass usually costs about 6,000 Japanese yen (around £37).

How To Get Around

Once you've touched down, pick up a hire car at New Chitose Airport (CTS) and head to Niseko, which is around a 2.5-hour drive. Niseko Annupuri International Ski Area and Niseko Village are less than a 15-minute drive from downtown. Parking is limited around the town and resorts, so it’s wise to make arrangements with your accommodation. A shuttle bus connects the ski areas and is free with a valid Niseko United lift pass.

Niseko Things To Do

Explore the life of the Taisho-era writer Takeo Arishima at Arishima Memorial Hall. A 20-minute drive away in the neighbouring town of Kutchan, the Shu Ogawara Memorial Museum of Art displays works by avant-garde painter Ogawara Shu. Don’t miss the uninterrupted views of Mount Yotei from the grounds of both museums. Feeling hungry? Niseko View Plaza tempts with Japanese delicacies such as mochi, a chewy and sweet rice cake, and also has regional souvenirs. Ready to say konnichiwa to this top Japanese resort area? Bundle your hotel, flights and a hire car into a Niseko ski holiday package and have more yen in your pocket to play with!
