Marrakesh-Tensift-El Haouz Beach Holidays

Very old hotel. Old toilets. Shower barely worked. 30 year old carpet in the room. I don’t what they are waiting for to fix those things. Toilet smelled like urine. We asked several times to fix it but no one responds. You should be ashamed to call this hotel Es Saadi.

Great

This has to be the worst value hotel in Morocco. It is very tired and the owners clearly feel no need to replace, maintain or repair anything in the hotel. Shower has no screen or curtain and results in a flooded bathroom. The sockets are dodgy. There is never a manager on-site and the staff seems demotivated. The breakfast is terrible and identical each day. You can get freshly squeezed orange juice anywhere in Essaouira, but this hotel insists on serving the most disgusting OJ from a bottle of concentrate. Special mention of Ilham Behabboul who is in reservations based in Marrakesh, but totally unreachable by any of the staff here in Essaouira. I called her, sent her WhatsApp messages and emails, but she would not respond on Friday and on Saturday she responded very unkindly and unhelpfully immediately before leaving the office, after which she became unreachable again. Hilariously unavailable to deal with any reservation issues that come up. The location looks much better than it is in reality. The road next to the hotel is actually very busy and noisy from early in the morning until late at night. Never saw anyone in the pool, probably because it looks knackered and disgusting. Avoid this hotel at all cost, there are so many nicer places to stay for GBP 110 per night.
