JA Manafaru, Maldives
Chosen by: Paul from A Luxury Travel Blog
"JA Manafaru is a stunning island resort where much of the accommodation comes with its own private pool or direct access to the sea. There are also communal pools, however, and the infinity pool at the aptly-named Infinity Bar takes some beating. The pool bottom is coloured in various shades of blue and blends beautifully with the sea and another Maldivian island beyond. In the evenings, the Horizon Lounge, which is just a little further along, is a beautiful place to watch the sun set."

Finca Cortesin, Malaga, Spain
Chosen by: Ana from Mrs. O Around the World
"With three pools for only 60-something rooms, Finca Cortesin is my luxury hotel recommendation when visiting the south of Spain (and we have been returning year after year for the past six). With its uniquely decorated suites, incredible grounds and a beach club with a fantastic beach restaurant, Finca Cortesin is our home away from home."

Monte Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, Monaco
Chosen by: Claire from Luxury Travel Diary
"Where is the best hotel pool in Europe? I don't believe you can beat the lagoon pool at the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort in Monaco. The bottom is sandy and the pool itself meanders under bridges, past waterfalls and around islands. The pool is all one depth which means you can stand without a problem, wherever you are, and wiggle your toes in the sand!"

The Grace, Santorini Greece
Chosen by: Bonnie from The Style Traveller
"One of my all-time favourite swimming pools in the world is the infinity pool at Grace Santorini. Perched at the top of the cliff, looking out over a vast expanse of turquoise sea, the view is interrupted only by the occasional super yacht floating by and the spectacular aerial view of the dormant volcano, The Caldera. It's hard to imagine a more picturesque setting. The hotels Grecian whitewashed facade juxtaposed with this clean modern lines of the pool and the calm blue sea is truly magical to behold."

The Surin, Phuket
Chosen by: Ross from The Luxury Editor
"My tip for a hotel with an amazing pool is The Surin in Phuket. The hotel is set across a steep hill-edge; you start with the lobby at the top and work your way down through the breakfast floor, to the restaurant then library, until you reach the pool and beach-bar at the bottom. The pool is incredible; fringed by coconut trees looking out onto the property's private beach which has a real Robinson Crusoe feel to it. To get the best of pool area, order a drink around six pm (which is also happy hour!) at the beach-side bar and relax on a lounger poolside where you will be rewarded with the most magical sunset and a great cocktail to boot. This hotel is perfect for a romantic luxury getaway, you won't be disappointed."
