The apartment is on the first floor of a three-storey block of six flats in total, sharing a secure car park.
A coded gateway, located under the archway entrance, ensures security for the small complex.
Set within a small, neatly maintained and peaceful, communal garden, the apartment comprises an entrance hall, sitting room, breakfast kitchen, twin bedroom, master bedroom and bathroom.
In the sitting room are two large leather sofas, one of which converts into a comfortable double bed, a flat widescreen television with digital channels and access to Netflix, and a Blu-Ray DVD player. A selection of DVDs, games and many books about York - its history and attractions - are all provided, as is broadband internet access. Wifi is available throughout.
The fully-fitted kitchen contains everything you need to feel at home including a dishwasher, fridge freezer, washer/dryer, microwave, cafetiere and
toaster.
There are electric heaters in each room and an electric immersion tank for hot water.
All York’s museums (Railway, Castle, Yorkshire and Chocolate - York’s Sweet History) are a short stroll away, as are two cinemas, both theatres and the Barbican concert venue. York Racecourse is also within walking distance.
For motorists, Queens Court provides a secure, allocated parking space. It is equally convenient for the railway station and Park & Ride bus stops.
NB While the Coronavirus remains a worry, our cleaners will implement extra measures to make our apartment as safe as possible. These include:
*The temperatures of staff are taken and monitored every morning with a touchless
laser thermometer. Staff are checked for symptoms daily and any showing/feeling any signs of illness will not work until these have passed/they have self-isolated for the required period of time.
*New cloths used in each room so that there is no cross-contamination. These cloths are washed at 90 degrees with an antibacterial detergent at the end of every day.
*The vacuum cleaners are cleaned with antibacterial wipes between jobs.
*Every high-use item (TV remote, light switches, door handles, etc) in each property is cleaned with antibacterial spray at every visit.
*Our laundry company is one of only 5 in the UK which passes the water through an ozone generator. This process adds ozone to the washing machines and kills 99.99% of bacteria, ensuring that all clean laundry is completely bacteria free at every wash. This is the chosen method of laundry cleaning for the NHS.
*There is a hand sanitiser unit inside the front door of the building in which our apartment is located which we would ask guests to use each time they enter.
