"I recently stayed at Secrets Bahia Mita Surf & Spa and unfortunately the experience did not match the expectations of an adults-only resort. While the property is marketed as adults only, it shares facilities with Dreams Resort, and there were kids throughout many of the common areas. This made it feel less like a true adults-only getaway. The service at the lobby was also disappointing. Staff often didn’t know basic information such as opening and closing times for restaurants and amenities. The concierge team was disorganized and not very helpful, especially when trying to reserve cabanas or follow up on a lost-and-found request. Another downside was that for an adults-only resort, the beach and pools closed at 7 PM every night, which limited evening relaxation options. That said, the highlight of the stay was the hardworking staff on the ground. The bartenders, servers, housekeeping, and maintenance teams were excellent. They were attentive, friendly, and consistently greeted guests, which made the experience much more pleasant. Their effort and professionalism were the most positive part of the trip."

"Very nice resort, great food, great beach. The only problem is, do not expect a booking at an à la carte restaurant. The butlers they assign to you to do the bookings tell you every morning that the restaurant is not available. Most likely it's a tactic to keep restaurant bookings down."

"Barcelo is such an amazing place to stay. Everything from rooms to food and service is 100 percent on point and more. This is the best place I've stayed at so far. They have everything to deliver a wonderful vacation time to customers. The beach is beautiful in this area. I'll definitely be back as much as I can. Barcelo is such a paradise. I recommend 1000 percent."
