The house is looking a bit tired in places and needs a bit of TLC in my opinion and although when we first arrived, everything seemed clean and tidy, we felt like it could do with a deeper clean. "We had a lovely stay! The home was clean and well equipped. The property is well situated for exploring the Peak District. There are grocery stores within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again!"

"We very much enjoyed our stay at the Smithy. The location was great & we had fun taking our 1 year old son to Trentham Monkey Forest & Amerton Farm. The only real disadvantage was that all the kitchen cupboards were low down & our son loved to play with them & their contents! But aside from having to keep a close eye on our son, the accommodation fitted our needs & we'd consider coming again next year"

"We had a lovely stay in this picturesque cottage in quite a rural setting on a farm. It was very cosy, yet spacious. The host had left us a nice little note and some chocolates, which was nice touch. The heating was a little tricky to manage as it came on a certain times out of our seemingly control. Nice and warm when it was on, but the house was very cold in the spring when it was off. The beds weren't the most comfortable, but adequate. Could have done with warmer bedding and more towels. "Check in was a disaster. They didn't communicate through email any check in instructions, they use an App that I don't have or use. Once we cleared that up it took almost an hour from the time I got the the property to figure out their demands to get an expensive deposit made until I could get a code to get into the place. The management company the owner uses for check in is a disaster. Poor customer service, didn't respond to most emails. The place itself is small and basic which is fine....

"Pleasant/bright,good outside area ,quiet for a main road ,comfy beds ,good shower. Just be aware of steep stairs ,could do with small bins in bedrooms and especially bathroom for toiletry waste and a set of drawers in main bedroom just to put stuff on .All in all nice and would stay again ."

"We was meant to stay here I booked a room with double & 2 singles, when I got the confirmation it stated 1 double 1 sofa bed the property made the mistake, after calling hotels.com to try to resolve I got nowhere, so I had no choice but to book another property. After booking another property I then get a call from this property saying they made a mistake. Hotels.com wouldn’t refund me. So I asked the property to refund me which was short by £20 odd pounds. So overall not a good experience "
