Not a whiff of "pseudo-neo-colonial" or "international hotel modern." The small staff was genuinely friendly and helpful, remembering us by face and room number. The parking lot was actually very handy for securing taxis on the spot, and many restaurants were within easy reach by taxi or on foot.
