Keys left with a butler on each floor, my butler never there. Key in drawer, anyone could have got key and stolen things from my room. Dinner was not good, chicken in curry dry and hard, desert not heated up enough. Breakfast superb. Not worth the price. The hotel is a destination in its own right and you want to make sure to make time just to take in the ambience. Don’t miss this historic site beautifully restored with contemporary comfort. The staff are extraordinarily welcoming and helpful and the butler service is like having a guardian angel or Jeeves right outside. You can discuss your plans and goals of your journey and the butler knows how to figure out everything...and mix your drink! The restaurant is wonderful too with a delicious breakfast. Relax by the salt water pool, enjoy food and drinks or hang out at the Sarkies bar. This is not the place to pick if you´re looking for the lowest prices. But if you´re searching for a memorable experience in a town on the rise, I can highly recommend The Strand Yangon.
