The staff was really friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great central location, just a short walk from the bell tower and no far from the Muslim quarters. The have some condos with the local pub and restaurants which makes you feel like you are in a local community. The facilities at the hotel were great and they have a beautiful terrace too. Totally recommended

We had a wonderful stay at the Somerset Serviced Apartments in Xi'an. Upon arrival we were upgraded, for free, to a very large apartment/lobby that was much better than the one we had booked.

We arrived at the Sofitel after a lesser pleasant experience in Guilin. We were delighted with the free room upgrade we were given. The staff we're lovely, and it was clear that they genuinely wanted to provide a good service. We ate in the hotel and I couldn't fault my meal. It's within walking distance of the railway station where you can catch the 306 (no 5 tourist bus) to the terracotta army.

We booked and paid up front for a room for 3 adults and we were put in a double room. We asked for a third bed and we were switched to a twin room with a spare duvet and pillow. We were told that they never add an extra bed into a room but they just except the 3rd adult to share bed. Fortunately they had rooms available so we paid extra and took another bedroom. Not cool. Rest of stay all fine. Good laundry. B’fast ok.
