The staff provided us a chair with the backrest in the shower stall and made the showering so much easier for my aging mother. The facilities at the hotel are great; adequate gym, good breakfast, laundry facilities and friendly, helpful staff. The hotel is very central close to the tourist attractions Bell Tower, Muslim Quarter and Drum Tower. I truly wanted to give this hotel an excellent review because overall, our stay was amazing. However, I cannot overlook the challenges we faced with the staff. This hotel is not ideal for travelers who do not speak Mandarin. I speak Mandarin, so I was able to get some assistance during our stay. Unfortunately, I do not read Chinese, and when I asked for help booking a Didi, I was simply told to go outside and hail a cab. I found this response disappointing, especially given that it was a reasonable request for a guest. Only after I asked to speak with a manager did the staff decide to assist me. This lack of initial willingness to help left a negative impression.
