Perfect in every way, great location lovely gardens rooms were spacious and spotless and the continental breakfast was plentifull. The hosts live on the site and Kerry made us feel very welcome on arrival and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended and look forward to staying again very soon.

The cleanliness, especially at this time, the attention and politeness you get from the staff and the peacefulness of the area it is set in.

We booked a 2 night stay here to celebrate my wife's birthday , we wanted a relaxing weekend and the white horse seemed to offer what we were looking for . Right from check-in i realised we had definitely picked the right place . We received a warm and friendly welcome and were shown to our room . Stunning location, Lovely bar restaurant, Nice food with a good drinks choice, Nice comfortable rooms, Great breakfast, Staff are friendly and efficient. High quality Inn at a reasonable price for what you get. Definitely would recommend and would stay again when back in the area.

This is truly a wonderful hotel to stay I've stayed in hundreds of hotels This is in my top 3 to stay in If I'm ever working in Sheffield area again. Lovely characterful hotel in a great location. We were upgraded in to a four poster room. Although the bed dominated the room there was still room for a sofa, desk and chairs. In addition there was a very spacious ensuite with a modern finish and great fittings. The staff were very welcoming and keen to help. The villagers of Pilsley were very friendly. Just up the road is the Chatsworth Estate Farm Shop which has a brilliant selection of foodstuffs for those wanting the odd snack, souvenirs...

Really lovely garden and well designed interiors. Didn’t like those hangers in the wardrobe that are a fiddle to take out and replace in their security rings.

We took our little boy for an over night stay and the illuminations and we all loved it. The resort view was great, the illuminations looked great at night from the room. The onsite amenities like the soft play and super child friendly resteraunt were great. We loved the everything about it and have already booked to come back at Christmas this year.

Room was clean, bed was comfy, parking was easy and checking in was simple. Would happily stay again.

We both enjoyed our stay at the Red Lion, the staff could not do enough for us, especially as I wanted to make sure Motorbike was in a secure place. Ideal for a relaxing break, even if the have a function on, as you cannot hear any music, plus the beds are so relaxing that you just want to get out of bed.

Only stayed for one night on way home, wished was longer. Fabulous hotel in a lovely setting that would be a perfect base for local attractions. Staff very friendly and helpful, room great with gorgeous view and breakfast excellent. Arrived late but squeezed in a drink at bar...food menu looked good.
