"Cooking utensils etc not clean, insufficient towels, doors not shutting, toilet door didn’t lock ( latch on back to front!) no bedside lights, no fire extinguisher ( this is a legal requirement), very tight to get in and park, poor quality of finish etc. It was nicely quiet"

"Our second visit and it certainly did not disappoint. From our arrival, being met in the car park, through our stay to the very last minute, the staff could not do enough for us. Room was spacious and well laid out. Lemon cake already in the room was delicious. Grounds are amazing especially if like me, you are interested in plants, their growth and wellbeing. The orchard and veg/herb gardens are a joy. We opted for the tasting menu which was wonderful. Strawberry dessert was to die...

"Very nice cottage in quiet village. Evie is a great host and came right over to fix the TV and bring us a few items that the cleaner had missed. The cottage is very comfortable and has a lovely back garden. It was chilly while we were there so we liked being able to sit in the glassed in area of the kitchen. The cottage is surrounded by other cottages/houses as is probably common in these small English villages. It's about a 15 minute drive to the park and ride to get into Oxford. Evie gave us...
