This was the best B&B by far I have ever stayed in. The room was spotless and a very comfy bed. The full Cumbrian breakfast was delicious and plenty of it, There was also a good alternative menu aswell. But if you decide to have an evening meal you are in for a real treat. Darryl is a trained Chef and the meals he serves are amazing.

Room was clean room and Staff very hospitable and a Business-friendly environment although location is a bit off road but accessible. Will patronize again when going to Scotland

The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming they were superb. We were sorry the restaurant and bar were shut and there was no hot option for breakfast. (We stayed Sunday to Monday)

This hotel is a gem of a find with the most amazing staff, restaurant and beautifully decorated rooms. It should be a least 4 star and I cannot rave enough about it , thank u to all the amazing staff at MELBREAK

I stayed in the annex luxury apartments which are fantastic. Amazing comfortable king size bed. Luxury bathroom and living area - like a suite set up. Two large TVs and kitchen - the sort of place you would buy.

We've just spent a lovely week at the Queen's Head at Troutbeck, Windermere. Lovely staff. Great food. Just near enough Windermere without being in the hustle and bustle and easy walks right from the door! We hope to return again soon.

The hotel was really nice built in the 17 hundreds nice n clean staff exceptionally helpful and very friendly we required a disabled room there was stairs into hotel which I could manage then once in everything on the level room was lovely with lots of space and had a wetroom with rails to hold onto and the choice of 2 different shower heads to use the meals were really good would highly recommend it

My wife and I stayed for just one night in a room with a mountain view. The room was decorated in a traditional country house fashion and was very clean and comfortable. We were welcomed upon our arrival by the owner who was attentive throughout our stay, as was all the staff. At first, there was an over-abundance of deference and I really wanted the staff to 'unbutton' a bit and let their own personalities shine through. Would highly recommend this hotel. The staff were welcoming and attentive, food was excellent and very reasonably priced, the decor and comfort of the rooms was of a very high standard. Would book this hote again.
