This was the best B&B by far I have ever stayed in. The room was spotless and a very comfy bed. The full Cumbrian breakfast was delicious and plenty of it, There was also a good alternative menu aswell. But if you decide to have an evening meal you are in for a real treat. Darryl is a trained Chef and the meals he serves are amazing.

The facilities were very good and the owners were very welcoming and left a basket of snacks, wine, bread and milk. Thank you

The hotel is a definite 11/10 it is stunning. The fact that it is only 2 minutes from the shops and 10 minutes walk to the lake makes it even better and the views are incredible. Breakfast was perfect as well and the staff were fantastic and so friendly and welcoming. Very highly recommend. Can’t wait to go back.

My wife and I booked 2 nights in this Bed & Breakfast establishment because we thought it looked fantastic and the reviews were excellent and we had promised ourselves a special break away from home that was something to remember. We were greeted by Ian and Hazel who showed us to our room and they freely offered us everything that we had hoped for. Rooms were spotless . Very welcoming people , parking is a must. Breakfast was 10/10. Highly recommend anyone to stay here. Views from the rooms are stunning. I will stay again.

This hotel is a gem of a find with the most amazing staff, restaurant and beautifully decorated rooms. It should be a least 4 star and I cannot rave enough about it , thank u to all the amazing staff at MELBREAK

We stayed one night at the Victorian house as we had planned a last minute visit to the lakes due to particularly good weather forecast for this time of year. The staff were very welcoming; the room was as described ‘cosy’ and furnished beautifully. The breakfast was of a high standard with plenty of choice. We would definitely look to stay again, especially as it was such good value for money and right in the centre of the village.
