"Parking was easy, staff were very welcoming. Very pet friendly with water bowls etc available. Dogs welcome in the bar area. Dog friendly room was clean and comfortable.I was leaving early and a lovely takeaway breakfast was left for me. Excellent in every way."

"A lovely old world pub, the highest in Britain. Lovely ambience, cosy bar areas and nice rooms. Just a few scruffy areas like the carpet going up to the accommodation and the ceiling and floor of the bathroom sliding door area. However it is understandable with being a busy pub with people with work boots and walking boots constantly in and out. The food was good, with lots of choice and well cooked. We had a slight blip checking in but it was sorted out quickly and efficiently. Overall a lovely stay in an iconic pub with a great atmosphere."

"We stayed in cottage 3 only one night unfortunately as I could look at that view from our window forever. The cottage was spotless and lovely and warm and there was everything you could need for a longer stay . The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. Most of all very,very dog friendly , excellent ! "
