"The front desk staff were all very kind and helpful. However, there was typically only one person so there was always a line of people waiting. We did require maintenance at one point and the maintenance man was there quickly and was friendly. We were in a room across the street. The lighting in the parking lot is poor. We were on the second floor and there are NO ELEVATORS! No good for two seniors with bad knees. The room itself was clean enough but the building is quite old and in need of major renovation. Our room was damp and there was mildew under the air conditioner. Also, no phone in the room so when we needed maintenance we had to walk across the street to the front desk. The pool was very nice, very clean. Plenty of chairs around the pool but the cushions were mildewed. We did see a couple of bugs in our room-nothing major, but when checking out I overheard the desk clerk talking with a couple that found bedbugs. We didn’t find any in our room. I wouldn’t recommend this place."

"Very deceitful in the way it hides the fact that they charge for parking. Had I known there was a 15.00 charge per day to park I could have booked a room at a nicer motel that does not charge for parking for the difference in price."

"The condition of the hotel was disappointing. Upon arriving, the chairs on the front porch were very soiled and in poor condition and the desk clerk was very unfriendly and unhelpful. All furniture needs to be repaired or replaced. The carpets on each floor were extremely dirty and need replacing. . The positive is the buffet breakfast which was good or could be cooked to order. Other employees were very nice. The hotel is in a good location with restaurants close by and the very nice beach is across the street. If this hotel could be refurbished, it would be very nice but needs help."

"I was shocked and disappointed, if not insulted, that I was charged $15/day to park my car on your property duing my stay. I paid to rent a room, and certainly that should include a place to park. That's only common sense. We have stayed here in the past and enjoyed ourselves, but this was my last time staying at Beach side."

"The front desk staff was impressively rude and unhelpful. Front door of room had to be kicked shut and wouldn’t lock. When i asked for help staff said call the number on some sticker. Shower didnt work , bathroom door would not close at all. Cant stop staff from entering room to clean. Security guard asleep, vending machines didnt work, no ice machine, arcade open but cant get tokens. Whole place including room smelled like pot.beach access showers didnt work. Staff turned off elevator every day while they cleaned. It was the worst hotel experience ive ever had in my life. Place should be condemned."
