Big thank you to young Heather on Monday morning, she was on her own doing the breakfast service & even though it was busy, she went about her business always with a smile on her face. "Booked my elderly disabled parents in at the hotel. Olivia on the front desk was very friendly and helpful with the booking process, making sure they were in a suitable ground floor room. The room was lovely and clean. My parents couldn’t operate the heater so went to ask Olivia to help them and she cans straight away and altered the settings for them so they were warm enough. Will definitely book them in to stay there again when they next come to Lincoln to visit"

Woodcocks, Lincoln by Marston's Inns

10/10 Excellent
"Apart from a strange noise that came intermittently from either the pipes or the air conditioning, I cannot fault this place. The room was excellent. The quietness of the environment was outstanding. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bath was large and comfortable. There was a little wear and tear on the bannisters and newel posts on the stairway but it was clean and not screaming out for immediate redecoration. The room was in excellent condition and the bed was comfortable. A longer duvet would have been nice because I like pulling my bedding over my head. This was not important but just something I'd have liked. The restaurant is what one expects from a chain and quite pleasant enough. Overall, this place is excellent and if you want peace and quiet, outstanding."
