Steve, the Innkeeper was most welcoming to his impeccable old house inn. He extended his genuinely gracious warmth to each person with typical NE polite restraint. The breakfast was simple with hot beverages and homemade banana bread. Each guest room had access to the mini kitchen w/ refrig in large but cozy dining area. The lovely garden was delightfully welcoming, homey and unpretentious. You could not go wrong staying at Hawks House Inn.

Great, charming place!
Great little inn with plenty of charm and character! It’s easy to tell that a lot of heart and soul has been put into the place. The inn keeper also couldn’t have been any nicer, lovely service! Such a sweet touch with homemade banana bread in the morning. Highly recommend!

A hidden gem
This quaint inn is immaculate and Steve ( the Innkeeper) is friendly and accommodating!! Very comfortable bed and linens. We enjoyed our morning coffee in the beautiful, peaceful back garden where we were visited by hummingbirds.

This was our favorite place we stayed on our trip to Maine. We loved it so much that we considered canceling another booking elsewhere! The property is serene, immaculate, idyllic, and just what we needed. Steve was a superb host and made us feel welcome and cared for. Could not ask for a better inn!

A very comfortable old fashioned farm house, steep stairs, lovely gardens, nice screened porch for reading or having a meal. Steve sets out morning coffee and banana bread but the kitchen is well set up with refrigerators for your own food and a microwave to warm up your meals purchased elsewhere. In nearby Damariscotta there are restaurants and a terrific coop grocerty story.

I was traveling on business and very weary from the road all day. Steve reached out to me mid afternoon and explained the check in process - super easy; which was appreciated. We found the room to be very clean and quiet. The mattress was wonderfully comfortable - tempur-pedic like and the sheets/bed cover were clean and crisp. Felt new. The towels were very plush and thick and abundant. Soaps and shampoos were provided also. The grounds were well kept and we felt safe and very comfortable. Regrettably we needed to leave early and were not able to partake in morning coffee and pastry - that were provided. Steve was a great host and we very much would recommend the Hawk's House.

A Little Gem
Driving through Maine we made a stop in Walpole to visit the Coastal Botanical Garden. We booked the 3 bedroom suite and were most comfortable (4 people family). You feel so welcome and well cared for as the place is sparkling clean with many, many thoughtful touches. Cannot recommend this property high enough, it was wonderful!
