The pub and food remains excellent but the accommodation is suffering from abuse by certain guests. During my last visit for business, my neighbour had tv on loud until 2am. "You get what you pay for but what there is was decent. Loses a mark for mould marks on shower ceiling but cannot fault rest of hotel. Breakfast very basic but what food there was hot and edible and the bar/restaurant area is lovely."

"The hotel is very centrally located which makes it a great spot to stay. However the hotel is tired looking. The lifts are really grubby and need a refresh. the toliets downstairs also need some TLC. The staff couldn't have been nicer and I would stay again for the shear convenience. The beds were basic but comfortable. The pillows are too small and not comfortable. "

"Fast, efficient and friendly check in service. All the staff were so pleasant and helpful. Car parking easily accessible and we were able to leave the car in the hotels park until 5pm on day of check out which was a bonus. Lovely clean modern hotel close to the town centre. Our room was on the 8th floor which had wonderful views over the town. The rooms were lovely and clean with everything we needed including a fridge. The super king bed was comfortable too. I can't fault this hotel especially as it was so reasonably priced too. Will certainly be staying again."
