"Excellent stay! The rooms and facilities are all clean and in great shape, the lobby area is gorgeous, the beds are comfortable, the views from rooms are fantastic. Perfect location. Rochelle at front desk (and her manager - I don’t have a have name) was a rock star helping me when there was an issue with my reservation and resolved it to my satisfaction.
The only complaint I have, and this is very minor, is that there was a weird odor in the hallway throughout our stay. Nothing looked dirty or anything so I don’t know what it was."
"Overall, if you are looking to have a great time in Hawaii without completely breaking your bank, this is the spot.
People are nice and give amazing tips on how to genuinely enjoy Hawaii. And there are amazing food truck spots in the area.
10/10 recomend!!! "
"Everyone was helpful and friendly. Easy access in and out of the parking lot. Only thing wish they had more elevators but overall we will stay at the Hyatt again! "
"My recent stay at the Waikiki Resort Hotel was a mixed bag. On the one hand, the location is truly unbeatable. Being just a block from the beach means you can be on the sand in a matter of minutes, and it's surrounded by countless shops and restaurants. The staff was also friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the daily housekeeping kept our room clean and tidy. The hotel itself is well-maintained and provides a comfortable base for exploring the area.
However, a major point of frustration was the parking situation. While the hotel does offer on-site self-parking, it comes with a hefty price tag of around $47 per day, which is a significant extra cost on top of the room rate. What's worse is that the parking is described as "limited" and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. This creates a stressful situation, especially when you've rented a car to explore the island and rely on having a secure spot to park it at the end of the day.
For a hotel in a major tourist hub, the lack of guaranteed parking for guests is a serious issue. If you're planning on using a rental car for your stay, be prepared for the possibility of having to find alternative (and potentially even more expensive) parking options off-site, or simply choose to rely on rideshares and public transportation to avoid the headache altogether."
"We stayed for 10 days and this property was amazing in terms of customer service and the surrounding areas. The rooms are a little outdated and our bathroom door did not lock or close, but they did not bother us. We still had a wonderful time. Parking was a breeze due to the valet parking and they were always quick to get us our car. Highly recommend for those who are traveling to Waikiki and don’t mind a slightly older hotel. "
