The property is truly remarkable albeit slightly humid as it is a natural cave. With a swimming pool surrounded by natural rock and rooms that are one of a kind, it is worth staying at Le Clos de l'Hermitage."

We enjoyed eating the continental breakfast on the patio outside each morning and loved relaxing by the pool after exploring during the day. "Wonderful stay in a luxurious beautiful property. Very well equipped As others have said, the photos don’t do it justice. Francine and Claude are so charming and welcoming, always available if needed. We loved the tomatoes from the garden, the flowers and jam, thank you Jacky! And of course the wine. Great area for cycling, and lots to see and do within less than an hour. Highly recommend."

We easily accessed the retreat with a 20-minute drive from the Gare St Pierre des Corps, where we rented a car from Avis. The house blends old-world charm with modern comforts—comfortable beds, a newly updated shower with instant hot water, and a contemporary toilet.We visited in mid-May when the weather was perfect. The blooming rose garden and nearby fields of vibrant poppies added to the serene ambiance. Practical amenities were just a short drive away in Amboise, with excellent dining and groceries available.The property boasts a rich history, highlighted by the cave that once served as a wine press for its renowned Vouvray white wine. "Excellent place for a family get together. Amboise within walking distance. peaceful grounds of chateau. The pool was so welcome as was the bbq. We would recommend the Château for a comfortable stay in France. "
