Good hotel away from the hassle and bustle

Posted 28-Sep-2016
Pros: Location away from the hustle and bustle and its unique charm
Cons: In need of refurbishment in bathroom.
Location: Not in the heart of tourist Venice but a street away from the hustle and bustle.
Hotel with striking interiors, efficient check in with comfortable room. Off the beaten track but not too far from all the sights in Venice which adds to the charm. Breakfast was sufficient but limited hot options. Helpful staff although sometimes missing from reception with a desk bell that didn't work. If you are looking for a full service hotel with restaurant and bar this isn't it, however it's boutique nature encourages you to get out and about in Venice with all the joys of getting lost and stumbling across local bars and restaurants. In summary, this is a pleasant hotel with bags of character in need of some tlc.

Slightly off the beaten path, very historic

Posted 19-Sep-2016
Staff gets an A+ Room was two stories but still small. Bathroom was large but the blow dryer was broken (bummer but no biggie). Location was awesome for easy walkability and transportation to the airport.

The hotel was in a great location, 10 minutes walk to St Marks Sq, fantastic restaurants 2 minute walk away. The rooms were lovely. They put us in the master suite on the final night as i proposed to my girlfriend on the trip, which was incredible The room was fantastic. fantastic staff, really helpful. I was really pleased with the hotel/location/cleanliness etc.

3 nights in a great area

Posted 14-Sep-2016
This hotel is a bit out-of-the-way - but worth it if you are staying in Venice for more than a night or two. Tilly is an amazing source of information! Great time! For travel, here's a tip - go to Plaza Roma (meeting place of all busses, train station right there), hire a hotel porter - cost $25euro, he'll load your bags on his cart and navigate you through streets to your hotel (about 20-25 minutes) worth struggling to find the right navigation to this quiet beautiful hotel!

Excellent stay for a night in Venuce

Posted 09-Sep-2016
Very nice stay in junior suite. Room large, comfortable bed and excellent breakfast. Hotel located off the beaten tourist area so very quite. Easy to navigate to all main areas with short walk to everything. Chose this hotel do to its proximity to the train station. No negatives at all. Will consider when returning to Venice for longer stay.

Schöner alter Palazzo

Posted 25-Aug-2016

Incredible small rooms, not worth for the price.

Posted 29-Jul-2016
Pros: Just the day sataff service, they help us with another reservation and allow us to use the hotel desk computer, since they do not have a guess compute
Location: Location is good, walking thru the main street of Venece and close to the Main Canal.
We arrive at midnight and it was really dificult and complicated to get to the hotel, they did'n answer the phone. Once there we was told that we book an "economy" room and there was small type of room, we are been traveling for over 50 days thru Europe, imagine the size of our luggage, it was no space for it in the room. And we pay over $140.00 US per night. We ask for an upgrade even if we have to pay more and they refuse. It was the smallest hotel room that we ever saw.
