"This was a charming, family hotel. The owners were really lovely. The room was big enough and although the floor was terracotta tiles they provided slippers. I had a balcony room with a view to Lake Garda, which was just a few minutes walk away. The hotel was not bland - it was the family home and there were interesting 'knick-knacks' everywhere, including in my room. It was out of season so they cooked breakfast and evening meals just for me. They took me to work and back for a reasonable...
