I surprised my boyfriend with this hotel for his 30th. The images looked amazing on the website, and when we arrived we were totally over the moon. The Palazzo Monga is a truly unique and beautiful boutique hotel. Restored to a very high level, it was undoubtedly one of the most impressive hotels I’ve stayed in. The location in the centre of Verona was perfect for seeing everything easily. The concierge Arthur was incredibly friendly and helpful, as was the owner Julia. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough!

Quirky hotel in a great location between the Arena and Juliet’s balcony. My single room was spacious with everything I needed. The bed was definitely bigger than a single! The welcome drink was a nice touch on arrival. Breakfast was a buffet with a good variety of hot and cold food. The hotel was very busy though!

This is our second visit to Opera Relais de Charme and it's been another full ratings visit. The appartment is so close to the main points of interest. Also in a restriced area for most car traffic. We used the train to visit Lake Garda and with an all day ticket travelled via hyrofoil to explore many towns. Take to the mountains via cable car. Look down from 1,790 metres to the lake. The view from room 602 (Mini-Suite) was jaw dropping and enhanced by the cloudless blue sky, mill pond view of the lake and a backdrop of the mountains with snow caps. Although not on the lake front the hotel is very close to the town (less than 5 minutes walk). From the imbarcadero most of the rest of the lake can be reached (managed to get to Riva del Garda, Limone sul Garda, Salo and Sirmione during my stay). The train station is also close make trips to other towns such as Verona and Mantua very accessible. The hotel is very comfortable with a good breakfast buffet. The hotel is beautiful, well kept and presented and the staff were fantastic. Just far enough outside the main town to be peaceful without it feeling isolated

With so many hotels to choose from we finally settled on booking Corte Valier. We were not disappointed! Clean, modern (but in a classy way) great breakfast, great spa area, not too busy... Although the north is more dramatic, in Lazise you are away from the tourists and you can still catch a bus or taxi to the north for the afternoon if you wish. For relaxation and re-charging you batteries this is 5/5.

It is perfectly place near the arena, The staff was super helpful in organizing all the details to make it a perfect stay. I highly recommend it.

Different people will require different things from their hotel; research is key. I read up that this hotel was within the courtyard of the 'Balcony of Juliet' and that it would be busy downstairs, and that there was no dining room so breakfast would be served in room. Google maps showed that it is fairly central in the old part of the city. The entrance hall is deceiving as to what awaits; rooms look out either over the street towards the Piazza delle Erbe (as mine did), or over the Juliet...

Lovely room, good storage,. Balcony for summer use. Lovely walk-in shower. Staff extremely pleasant and accommodating. They all spoke excellent English. Lake view and less than 100 metres from centre of town with restaurants etc. Couldn't fault it.

Escalus is located in the centre of Verona, just a few steps from the Arena, which always seems to have something happening. The lack of in-house restaurant, bar or lounge space was no draw-back at all for us. Breakfast in-room service was excellent and always delivered on time. Really great feeling about hotel. Staff particularly helpful and friendly. Can you book me a taxi?. Can you find me a decent restaurant? Can I have extra towels?. Everything answered quickly and politely, some five star hotels would do well to be this polite. If you are used to five star hotels, this will not disappoint. Rooms very clean, good size, pool beds really excellent, food and drinks excellent and very reasonably priced.
