"Great location and so convenient for local restaurants and shops. Parking offside took a minute or two and was really easy. Our room was very large and perfect for my disabled Mum. Breakfast and food in the bar was excellent. It was lovely to sit and relax with such a stunning view. Chantelle made sure our room was always clean and lovely to return to. "We had a lovely stay overall. We visited for one night and were kindly given a complimentary upgrade to a lodge room, which was a really thoughtful touch. The staff were incredibly helpful throughout, and the breakfast was excellent. I’m unable to comment on the evening dining or spa facilities as we didn’t use them—unfortunately I couldn’t access the spa due to being pregnant—but they looked fantastic from what we saw and from the photos. The only downside was the cleanliness, which didn’t quite meet expectations. When we checked in, there were dead bugs on the bed and side table, and quite a few cobwebs in the outdoor area of the lodge, which meant we didn’t use the seating outside. At breakfast, we also noticed dead flies on the windowsills, which isn’t what you’d expect from a hotel of this standard. That said, everything else about our stay was great, and we would return. It just felt like the cleaning standards may have slipped slightly during the weekend we visited."
