The best time to visit Tux largely depends on whether you're planning a winter sports holiday or a summer mountain escape. For winter sports enthusiasts, the prime time is from late November to late April. This period offers reliable snow conditions across the Zillertal 3000 ski area, which includes the Hintertux Glacier. The Glacier itself guarantees skiing 365 days a year, but the full resort experience with all lifts and runs open is best enjoyed during these months. January and February are typically the coldest and snowiest, making them ideal for powder hounds. If you're seeking a summer break with hiking and alpine activities, the best time to go is from June to September. During these months, the weather is milder, mountain trails are clear of snow, and the cable cars are operating for easy access to higher elevations.
