"The property is well maintained and well position for a visit to all of Yorks attractions. It would have been great to have onsite parking but a car park was available close by at a reasonable charge. The staff were helpful and informative. I would definitely stay again and recommend the property to friends and family "

"Arrived around 9.00pm having checked in online as requested; reception staff were not very welcoming and handed me a key card to access room. No information about breakfast - we had emailed to say we were arriving late and asked about food option. No reply. Key card didn’t "

"Lovely hotel, friendly and accommodating staff. Let us check in early free of charge as our room was ready. Loved the 12 o'clock check out too and breakfast was excellent. "

"We didn't receive a particularly warm welcome on arrival but bar and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. The bedroom was basic but fine for a short stay and the bed was comfortable. However, the noise from the streets outside (all night) affected our sleep. "
