High quality tea and coffee plus biscuits in the room and to top it all an excellent breakfast the next day. "Easy to find, clear instructions regarding keys, etc.. Not a huge amount of things nearby, apart from the nice beach. Perhaps a bit expensive for what it is, but in the summer the easier access to the beach must be a plus."

"In an excellent location across the street from where the action is and a short (and beautiful) walk from the train station, this seven-room hotel is dated and quirky, but the rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were crisp and new. Beware, the stairs are not for folks with the slightest mobility issues. I’d recommend it to people willing to trade ultimate modern comfort for the sake of inexpensive accommodations. "

"Howfield Manor is a really lovely hotel. Quite a unique venue. The staff were so helpful. This is my second time at the hotel yesterday was for sisters Celebration of Life. We were in the marque which was beautifully laid out, the food was extremely good and the staff were very helpful. We had a lovely room which was very clean and we had a superb view of the gardens. Highly recommended."
