A little off the beaten path.

A little further from the shops and restaurants along Main Street. However, it is close to a local market

Great location. Cute hotel. Amenities great

Posted 08-Sep-2016
Pros: Great staff, friendly laid back. small restaurant in hotel had excellent food and was a great place to get a glass of wine and chill after skiing
Cons: Hot tub area could be a bit bigger
Great hotel in a good location. We had a suburban shuttle anytime we needed to go anywhere and he even recommended restaurants etc...It happened to be a holiday and the driver actually CAME IN with us (the place was VERY busy) just to make sure we got in and we were going to stay before he left. (We didn't stay because it was standing room only and way to chaotic after a long day of amazing skiing we wanted a quiet glass of wine with good meal. Plenty of places to do that. I love Telluride and the Hotel made our stay for a decent price amazing. The hot tub situation was a bit of a disappointment, but we were usually too tired after skiing all day to get the energy to go sit in it. Staff helpful, friendly and set up a 1/2 day snowmobile trip with pick up and drop off right at the hotel as well as ski equipment. Made everything easy peasy. Thanks Hotel Telluride!

Easy access to town and outdoor activities

Posted 01-Sep-2016
Pros: Location. Far enough from "downtown" yet close enough to walk back. We shuttled out to the gondola (outdoor explore) and the falls (river walk back)
Cons: Nothing comes to mind!
Location: Ride the gondola and plan for a day outdoors, hiking trails near Sophia station or the stores at Mtn Village. Must see the Falls; take river walk.
Excellent experience over all, from check in to departure. The shuttle service was superb (large SUV) and the drivers were great. The King Signature room was large and comfy, with the bed and bedding First Class. Bathroom was very spacious and well appointed; resort lodging without high resort add-on fees. Nice little balcony, too (2d floor). Fitness room had the equipment I use at Planet Fitness, including Bosu balance platform, free weights, treadmill, and elliptical. Smaller than a full gym, but you can really work it out. Access to hot tubs through the back door, but it was a bit rainy so we didn't climb in. The steam shower is the bomb! Very large (can support you and several of your best friends), with plenty of towels and shower supplies. The small kitchen has cook-to-order options by inventive chefs for breakfast and dinner, and the bar has 3 beers on tap and a wide selection of libations handled by a very good bartender. This small facility is far superior to most large-scale operations, and the ambiance is as laid back as the town. Prices were in line with what we found in nearby restaurants, so rainy afternoons were a delight inside.

Lovely hotel close to town

Posted 16-Aug-2016
This a quaint hotel with close proximity to restaurants, shops, and the gondola. The staff is friendly and knowledgable about the area. The room was a bit small but had a small fridge, microwave, and balcony.

nice looking outside -completely different inside

Pros: fresh cookies daily
Cons: update rooms, clean
Location: great location
Checked in early - happy that our room was ready ahead of check in time. NICE to drop our stuff off. However, immediately when we walked into our room I knew I would be uncomfortable. The room needs to be updated, very dark and unwelcoming. Old grungy worn out couches and chairs. Dust all over the phones in room, and spider webs in lights. If we could change hotels, we would have but our parents were staying and it was too hard to move. We checked in on a Friday and Departed on Sunday, August 14 2016. On Saturday, we woke up early to go for an all day hike, came back to our room at 4:30PM and our room was not ready. Housekeeping knocked at 4:35PM and asked if we wanted our room made up. I asked to come back in 45 minutes so we could get ready for dinner but was told no as her shift ended at 4:30. I went down and informed the front desk and they said - it was true and if we wanted our room to be made up the front desk rep would go do it. Also, we went to the bar for pre dinner drinks and ordered dirty martinis.... bartender then told us they did not have olives. How do you not have this most simple ingredient? Buyer beware. Would try a different hotel over this one.

Elegant hotel in a beautiful location

To see the green and mountains outside our window; to sit by the fire in the plush lobby; to dine in the small but excellent diner -- all was wonderful. We felt enveloped by our surroundings.

A solid 3 out of 5

Posted 01-Aug-2016
Positives: Excellent helpful friendly staff. Well located, clean. Negatives: No valet parking, $20 a night for garage parking, no concierge, noisy a/c, small balconies, you can't open the windows at night because there are no screens to keep the bugs out. A few "rough edges" that you wouldn't see in a 4 or 5 star hotel.

Nice mountain view for sure.

Posted 25-Jul-2016
It was just an overnight stay. The hotel is very clean and the view is spectacular facing the mountain slope. Glad that we found a free parking on the side of the street. We didn't mind finding a spot, it's a nice walk though.

Small hotel at edge of town.

Posted 22-Jul-2016
Lovely, cozy hotel within easy walking distance of everything. Room was very nice with great beds. Some staff better than others. Didn't eat in the restaurant as we were more interested in exploring town.

Great in town Hotel

Posted 12-Jul-2016
Great location for in town , easy walk to gondola and restaurants. Good service and clean rooms. Full size coffee maker in room would have been a nice upgrade for me, but made do with tiny unit. Overall very good experience.
