    Magnolia Hotel Denver

    818 17th St, Denver - Map
    "Good Location"
Good location for going out downtown. Can walk everywhere, or you're very close to public transportation. Hotel provides a complimentary shuttle within a two mile radius of hotel. Wifi is free, and there is a cookie bar in the evening. Some things to keep in mind- no mini fridge in rooms, $38 for valet parking with option to leave and come back, and the only ice machine is on the 3rd floor. Considering Denver hotels, this is a good option given all things. We would come back.

"Not up to usual standards this time"
Disappointing. We have stayed here before and loved it, so we booked for a weekend getaway. The particular room we had was bad. The coffee table, couch and dining table all need to be replaced. Very beat up. Carpet stains (previous rooms had wood floors - much nicer) and really tacky metal shelves mounted to the wall for electronics.

    "Great location"
This hotel is a great location. It is literally at the bottom of Peak 8. The drawbacks are that is a maze to get around the hotel and we were constantly getting lost. You switch elevators at least 3 times getting to your room from the slopes or parking garage. Also the rooms are in need of updating.

"Roomy 1BR Suite with living space and kitchen"
Although not sparkling new, the building and rooms are in great condition. We stayed in a very spacious 1 BR suite with separate bedroom. Soft clean sheets and quiet building allow rest. Friendly front desk staff. Location: This resort is near town (shops, restaurants, bars), not on the slopes. There is a gondola near the resort that can take you to the base of one of the Peaks at Breckenridge where you can then take a lift up the mountain to ski. The gondola is about a 5-6 min walk from the resort which is doable in ski boots but requires some effort. The gondola is about a 10 min ride to base. Or you can take the hotel shuttle bus to a Peak/lift of your choice, but you may have to wait for a shuttle. Something to consider when comparing resorts right on the slopes. We liked this location it as we did more shopping/eating-out than skiing and we could simply walk two or three blocks to the heart of downtown.

Hotel is old but mostly updated. Staff is great and remembers your name. Management is stuffy and sometimes a bit rude. Saw many light bulbs out that says they are not maintaining property as they should. Valet service is great and requests to front desk and room service were handled very promptly. Hotel is convenient to the aspen village and a short ride to the ski area. Hall ways kept way too dark.

Because of a blizzard we arrived at 5:40 am and someone from security arrived promptly to check us in. Everyone was friendly and helpful. They have a shuttle service that will drop you off and pick you up from anywhere in Aspen by using the Gant app. It's really perfect for a place like Aspen and the wait for the shuttle for us was never more than 10 min. Our kids swam in the heated outdoor pool when it was 7 degrees out and we had such a comfortable bed my wife has sent me looking for where to find the quilts they used. I spend a excessive amount of time traveling and now with my kids often and this is Place with Groceries delivery and food delivery was just awesome.
