"Management at breakfast left a lot to be desired. When we arrived, no one was there to greet us. The only staff member was engaged in a heated conversation with another guest. There was no milk for the cereal. No spoons either! Coffee pot had run out. Family sized kettle was supplying a dining room of about 20 people. Bread was in short supply. Basically under staffed. One staff member taking orders, serving food and clearing tables."

"We visited to attend a wedding. Although we were advised the room may not be ready for us before the ceremony, the hotel stated they would do their best to allow us entry. On arrival we were told fairly gruffly it wasn’t ready and would get in after the ceremony. We could use the public toilets if needed. The woman on main reception was not particularly friendly! Had been asked on our booking form if it was a special occasion for us, which it was, so filled that out with details. The unfriendly...

"Loved our stay. Bed was soooo good. Breakfast was excellent, A la carte . Only downside is there is no lift to get to the rooms, just stairs."

"What a delightful stay. Quiet country area. Staff are ALL very friendly and welcoming. Restaurants of dinner and breakfast are 5 stars. Room was very spacious and beds/pillows very comfy. Once you check in you don’t need to go anywhere else to eat or drink. "

"Stayed here overnight for a golfing trip. Had a twin room and was perfect for golf trip. Had breakfast on site and it was very good and plentiful. The bar downstairs also has a restaurant. The staff from checkin, bar, breakfast and checkout were all very pleasant and efficient. This is a great inexpensive place to stay for golf trip. "
