"a very good value for money option for those wanting to stay near glasgow. Reasonable commute by car to the city (1/2 hour or so) - suggest you go the more Country route. Local area isn’t significant, so suggest you eat in the city. Our large room got a lovely sunset, whilst sitting on a large raised couch. Quiet. (though the birds can get noisy for a bit - nothing the property can do about that though). Sheep in the garden ! Recommended."

Best Western The Hilcroft Hotel West Lothian

10/10 Excellent

"Myself & Girlfriend, My Friend & His Girlfriend all arrived late Saturday night / Sunday morning. We had just got back to the uk from a holiday in Turkey , flying into Edinburgh airport , we had booked a one night stay so we could be fresh to travel back . Maria on Reception and Jason (sorry if names are wrong ) couldn’t have been more welcoming . We asked if there was a vending machine as we were peckish , Maria went and brought us four pies and said I hope this helps . Then when I went back down to reception to ask for more biscuits, Jason brought out more biscuits and a carrier bag with a selection of crisps and said help yourself . It was like going back in time , such was the warm welcome . In the morning the breakfast was VERY NICE and cooked to order , not the usual pilled up in hot trays stodgy overcooked stuff .And again all the staff were friendly & polite . I work up and down the country and stay in a wide variety of hotels , and my / our stay at the Hilcroft Hotel as restored some faith in the hospitality industry in Great Britain, the staff are a credit to the owner !!"
